Dust 02:59
Listening to another story About the same old thing Tell it again and again And its history Does it matter if we’re Still moving forward or back Time, it is a strange thing You can never get it back Listening to reasons Hopes and dreams While the dust is settling in the background Watching the days just go by Aligned in such a way I don't even know if I remember yesterday Do I even sleep anymore Do I know the reasons why Trying to move forward While a breath begets a sigh Listening to reasons Hopes and dreams While the dust is swirling all around me
2.
Lying down in a spinning room What am I trying to prove? Running late but I’ll be there soon I’ve got nothing to do Traffic jam on an empty road There ain’t no gas in my car I’d like to help you but I’m too close So far away is not far Life ain’t easy When it only happens to you No, life ain’t easy Oh, oh no Gotta get it right Oh, oh no Gotta give up right now
3.
Comfort 03:59
Is this comfort good for Me or for you Is this breath I'm breathing Or this life I'm living For you What is this wind that's blowing this bird that's singing this heart that's beating Supposed to do When I wake up in the morning Will I go to bed at night What is this train that's traveling this cloth unraveling this life I'm living Trying to prove What is this wind that's blowing this bird that's singing this heart that's beating Supposed to do When I sleep through the morning When I'm awake at night Are these dreams trying to tell me Something They just might…
4.
I'm pushing I'm breaking in When's it all gonna blow I'm shrugging I'm questioning Life's beautiful glow Who said that it is all Supposed to just work out Alliances shifting A world full of doubt Somewhere and somehow Everything is different I can't ask questions I'll just go home Define that I'm begging please Tell me what's happening Red lines are blurry now I'll gladly not sing
5.
Towards, another place in time Forward, where we can unwind A gap or a bridge, it is undefined A distinct and unflinching light Can we walk for a while and work it out? Along with our breath and our thoughts and our doubts And through promise and drink and in flight, we come back around We come back around, we come back around Surrenderer, your time is not mine Disbeliever, enduring the night A peace or a burden, clandestine War is the outcome of our fight
6.
Never Know 02:46
I never know what to do When it's time to say what you say When life's strange And serious – I cannot stay, it's worse when I go Do what you will and Be what you must Shake all of the dust out and make a fuss But when you come back Or when you go home – Remember that you are Never alone Oh I deserved it And we all lived through it You're shoving your way to the white lights
7.
Doing Time 03:57
Do you ever really want to know the answer? Do you ever really even ask the question? Does the meaning ever explain it? Are you ever left wanting more? Time and time again We end up where we begin Cycles, they are circles They’re always intersecting Do you ever really want to hear the question? Do you ever really even know the answer? Does the meaning ever really explain it? Are you ever left wanting more?
8.
A flash of brilliance Set in soft stone intentions are drawn out From solid white bone There's blood on the sidewalk A thousand miles away What some decisions are made for Forever in a day Well I guess I never really put up a fight What I could've said to you Is long overdue But I'm out of tune I fell down so far I couldn't recall the day Nothing left to die for I must've lost my way That time I choked up Well at least I tried To make sense of everything And all the ways of life
9.
How Do You? 02:56
I've been hearing you talking And can't believe what you say I've noticed certain inflections When you put it that way Two tongues in one mouth How do you even speak at all I think I know what you're doing Never quite felt it so strong Believing is nothing in life When the facts are all wrong
10.
Tell Me Why 05:22
I stood there talking and talking But no words meant anything at all In service to horrors and discontents Those words said everything Sleeping off the fear of the light Surface currents hint at nothing waiting in the depths Kind hearts die Tell me why So many ways to say I’m sorry No real way to simply forgive And forget where it all started Only another means to an end
11.
Oh you late night birds Singing those songs but ain’t singing no words Serenading that late night sky Don’t need no reason why Shrugging off the morning Leaning towards the day The rumble in the distance Won’t understand anyways Oh you late night birds You and me, we’re right here That never goes away You give a little, you get a little That never goes away These machines they rumble and bang That never goes away Just remember, you and me, we’re here to stay
